THE NON-SPHERICALLY SYMMETRIC STRUCTURE OF X-RAY ILLUMINATED HZ Her ATMOSPHERE AHD THE OBSERVATIONAL EVIDENCE
    Mi Guo-zhu;Shen Jing-ying
    1989, 9 (2):  81-86.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.081
    Abstract ( 1277 )   PDF (418KB) ( 937 )   Save
In close binary system Her X-1/HZ Her, the structure of HZ Her atmosphere is complicated due to X-ray heating. The non-spherically symmetric structure of HZ Her atmosphere is examined. The temperature and ionization contours for the atmosphere with exponential density distribution are calculated. The positions and physical properties of chromosphere, transition layer and corona along different radial lines are described. The eclipse transition data of this system is analysed in detail, and the density distribution for different layers along the radial line perpendicular to the sight line is obtained. This distribution agrees with the theory very well.

Hydroxyl maser emissions associated with a star formation region NGC6334 Fin right and left polarizations at the 1665 and 1667 MHz transitions are observed with VLBI MKIIIrecording system. It is found that in the region, the strong Hydroxyl maser emissions come from an area of a scale 5×1015cm. The majority of Hydroxyl maser features are projected onto the core of cometary HIIregion. The velocity gradiant 6-10 km/s/arcsec is found in the velocity-position plot. This suggests that there may be a rotating disk in which a young OBstar is formed with mass -25M.

    Lin Hua-an;Xu Ao-ao;Tang Yu-hua;S. R. Kane
    1989, 9 (2):  96-103.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.096
    Abstract ( 1414 )   PDF (519KB) ( 1077 )   Save
48 X-ray flares observed by ISEE-3 satellite during May, 1980 to August, 1981 are analysed. It is found that one third of all are multi-bursts in six active regions. Relation of physical nature of these X-ray flares with corresponding sunspots area, type and magnetic structure of active region are studied. Some interesting results are obtained.1. Hard X-ray integral fluxes and spectral hardness at the peak of X-ray flares in the same active region and the sunspots area of the active region are positively correlated;2. The active region of mullt-bursts G-ray flares all have magnetic structure;3. The physical nature of X-ray flares in different active regions is not obiously correlated with the area of the active region. It seems that the gradient of the magnetic field in active regions, namely, the current of active regions, have a critical action during flare eruptions. In addition, the characters using the current loop model of solar flares are discussed.

THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF BRIGHTNESS PROFILES FOR PLASMA TAIL OF COMET HALLEY
    Hu Zhong-wei;Yan Lin-shan
    1989, 9 (2):  104-109.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.104
    Abstract ( 1479 )   PDF (355KB) ( 1003 )   Save
In this paper, relative brightness profiles along plasma tail axis and several sections perpendicular to the axis for comet Halley on 4 January 1986 are analysed with the aid of Hayar-chuk's theoretical diffusion model and other relevant data. By fitting observed brightness profiles with theoretical profiles, some of physical parameters for the plasma tail are estimated, such as the mean lifetime of CO+ ions, longitudinal (along tail axis) and transverse diffusion coefficients, possible lower and upper limits of magnetic field intensity in direction of the tail axis. Finally, certain conclutions and discussions are made briefly.

A DISCUSSION ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE COMETS AND THE ELECTROMAGNETIC ENVIRONMENT OF SOLAR-TERRESTRIAL SPACE
    Li Zhong-yuan
    1989, 9 (2):  110-116.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.110
    Abstract ( 1355 )   PDF (510KB) ( 1061 )   Save
In this paper, it is shown that the appearance of dust cometary tails and of type Icome-tary tails are all stochastic processes. Some phenomena of type Itails, for example, their turbulences, their twisted events and the encountered process by Earth's magnetosphere are discussed. The relationship between the phenomena of comets and the electromagnetic environment of the solar-terrestrial space is analysed. It is pointed out hat there are similar statistical results for the distinct phenomena of type Itails, but mechanisms of the interactions are different.

THE PROBABILITY OF THE MAGNETIC FIELD RECONNECTION IN THE SOLAR WIND AND ITS OBSERVRTIONAL EVIDENCE
    Wu Ji-ping;Lin Jin-yun
    1989, 9 (2):  117-126.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.117
    Abstract ( 1352 )   PDF (639KB) ( 1039 )   Save
By comparing the intensity and anisotropy of the ion bursts (E≥125 keV/Q, Q≥1) observed simultaneously by IMP-Hand IMP-Jsatellites upstream of the bow shock in the time of January 21-22, 1976, it is shown that for four bursts a-d when IMP-His farther from the earth than IMP-J, (1) in the a and b bursts, the intensity observed by IMP-His larger than that by IMP-J, and the anisotropy measurement made by IMP-Jis flowing in a direction from the sun to the earth; (2) in the burst c, there is the same direction as the a and b bursts in the anisotropy, but the intensity observed by IMP-His smaller than that by IMP-J; (3) in the burst d, the characteristics of the intensity and anisotropy is both opposite to that in the a and b bursts. The phenomena can be interpreted satisfactorily by supposing that there are magnetic field re-connections in the solar wind which could produce energetic particles in the medium.

THE FEATURE OF THE IONOSPHERE IN THE AURORAL ZONE AND THE MAGNETOSPHERE- IONOSPHERE COUPLING
    Shen Chang-shou;Luo Yi;K. Schlegel
    1989, 9 (2):  127-135.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.127
    Abstract ( 1416 )   PDF (587KB) ( 730 )   Save
Four cases are investigated by using EISCATdata. It is shown that the magnetosphere-ionosphere coupling significantly influences the auroral ionospheric morphology. During the magnetic storm, the enhancement of the convection electric field and the particle precipitation could make the electron density of the Eregion much larger than that of the F-region, and the vertical profile deviates from the normal distribution completely. The solar radiation is not the only factor controlling the day-night and annual variation of the ionospheric electron density even in the magnetic quiet periods. The plasma drift caused by the magnetospheric process plays an important role, especially in winter.

    Xiang Qiu-lu;Shen Xian-yun;Meng Jing-rui;Liu Guang-yuan
    1989, 9 (2):  148-154.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.148
    Abstract ( 1385 )   PDF (531KB) ( 1240 )   Save
In this paper an experiment of zoological model with 26 rabbits is reported and the dynamic response curves of blood flux of various organs are given. The relations between the blood flux and the functional state of microvessels of various organs under the simulated weightlessness conditions are also analysed using the method of microcirculation. Finally, the characteristics of the changes of the microcirculatory functions of various organs are discribed, and the mechanism of this changes are primarily discussed.

    Xue Shun-sheng;Zhang Gong-liang;Xao Shao-yu
    1989, 9 (2):  155-160.  doi: 10.11728/cjss1989.02.155
    Abstract ( 1457 )   PDF (445KB) ( 1117 )   Save
Correlation analysis is made on the relation of the north-south (N-S) anisotropy of cosmic rays, observed by the Nagoya multi-directional meson telescope, with the IMFas well as the solar wind velocity within solar carrington rotation for the period 1971-1975. It is found that the N-Sanisotropy of cosmic rays correlates quite well with the Bx and By components of the IMF. The correlation coefficient mearly equals to 0.8.
