HIGHER-ORDER STATISTICS AND IDENTIFICATION OF NON-LINEAR PROCESSES IN SPACE PLASMAS

摘要: 利用高阶矩统计分析方法对AUREOL-3卫星观测数据进行分析处理,所涉及的信号分别为ELF(<1kHz)频率范围内的电场扰动Eh(t)和等离子体密度波动δNe/Ne(t).处理结果表明:利用高阶矩谱分析方法可以很好地识别空间等离子体波-粒相互作用过程中的非线性成分.Abstract: Using the higher-order statistical methods, the physical properties of certainsatallite data were described. The question addressed in this paper is the usefulness of higher-order statistics for identification of the wave-particles interaction inspace plasmas. The signals considered here are respectively ELFfrequency rangeelectrostatic turbulence and fluctuation in electron density measured on the low latitude satellite AUREOL-3 from the ARCAD-3 scientific experiment. The analysisshows that one can well identify the non-linear behaviour in the processes usingsuch method.
