Professional Experience:

Dr. Yangting LIN is a professor of the Institute of Geology and Geophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, engaged in meteoritics and planetary science. He is a fellow of the Meteoritical Society, and was awarded with the National Natural Science Foundation of China for Distinguished Young Scholars. He is currently the vice president of the Chinese Society of Space Research, the chief scientist of the Lunar and Planetary Science Expert Group in the field of space science and application of Manned Space Engineering, and a domain scientist in the field of planetary exploration. His main research fields include the origins and evolution of asteroids and the solar system, Martian meteorites and the geological evolution of Mars, and lunar science. He established and led the first nanoSIMS laboratory in China, organized the field search for and research of Antarctic meteorites, which promoted the development of meteoritics and planetary science in China.
