A Test of International Reference Ionosphere IRI-79 Using Ionospheric Electron Content Data

摘要: 本文用1978-1979年在西安测量的电离层电子含量与由国际参考电离层模式计算的结果相比较。指出后者在春季显着偏低。这是模式中F2层峰以上部分电子密度偏低所致。Abstract: Acomparison is made between the ionospheric electron content measured at Xian in 1978-1979 and that calculated from International Reference Ionosphere IRI-79. It is shown that the electron content calculated from IRI-79 in spring is much lower and this could be due to the too low electron density of the IRImodel above the F2 peak level.
